No, citizens of Kazakhstan do not need a visa for stays of up to 30 days in Vietnam, thanks to a visa-exemption agreement that took effect in May 2024. For stays longer than 30 days, a visa is required.

  For stays up to 30 days: Citizens with a valid Kazakhstan national passport are exempt from visa requirements.
  Passport validity: Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
  Frequency: You can stay for up to 30 calendar days per visit, and a total of no more than 90 days within a six-month period.
• For longer stays (over 30 days)
  Apply for a visa: For trips exceeding 30 days, you must apply for a visa in advance.
  Options: You can apply for an e-visa online, get a visa on arrival (valid for air entry only), or apply for a traditional visa at a Vietnamese embassy or consulate.

Steps to apply for Vietnam visa on arrival

• Fill in an online application form for pre-approved visa letter

• Download and print the approval letter and get the visa stamp upon arrival at Vietnam airport
