Currently, there is no official Embassy or Consulate of Vietnam located in Afghanistan. If you require assistance with visa-related matters, you will need to contact a Vietnam Embassy or Consulate in a neighboring country during business hours.
Afghanistan citizens or residents have three main options to apply for a Vietnam visa:
1. Apply at a Vietnam Embassy in Another Country
You can visit the nearest Vietnam Embassy or Consulate outside Afghanistan to apply for a visa. This option is suitable for travelers entering Vietnam by land, sea, or air.
2. Visa on Arrival (VOA)
For those traveling to Vietnam by air and unable to visit an embassy, the Visa on Arrival process is an efficient alternative.
How it Works
- Submit an online application for a pre-approved visa letter through an authorized agency.
- Once approved, present the letter upon arrival at a Vietnam airport to get your visa stamped.
Important Note
Visa on Arrival is exclusively for air travelers. If you prefer to get your visa stamped at an embassy, coordinate with the agency managing your VOA application for additional support.
3. Apply for an Electronic Visa (E-Visa)
Afghanistan citizens can also opt for a Vietnam evisa, which can be processed online through the Vietnam Immigration Department’s official website or through licensed travel agencies.
